Ingredients

Scale

6 cups rolled oats, uncooked

1 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

4 large eggs

4 cups milk

1 stick butter, melted

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

3. Add the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly combined.

4. Spread the oatmeal mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.

5. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the intended texture. Quick oats may produce softer results, while steel-cut oats are not a direct substitute.

Mix thoroughly to distribute the eggs, milk, butter, and dry ingredients evenly.

Avoid overbaking, as this can make the oatmeal dry.

Optional serving ideas include fresh berries, sliced bananas, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, or nut butter.

For meal prep, allow the baked oatmeal to cool and divide it into individual portions.

Refrigerate leftovers in airtight containers for up to 3–4 days.

Freeze individual portions in freezer-safe containers for longer storage. Thaw in the refrigerator before reheating.

Reheat leftovers thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F.
