An easy, cheesy comfort food casserole made with beef hot dogs, chili with beans, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and golden crescent roll dough.

Ingredients

8 beef hot dogs, sliced into bite-size pieces

2 cans (15 oz each) chili with beans

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

1 small onion, finely diced

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 tbsp yellow mustard

1 tbsp ketchup

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or green onions, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Mix chili, tomato sauce, mustard, ketchup, and seasonings.

3. Stir in hot dogs and onion.

4. Transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

5. Top with cheddar and Monterey Jack.

6. Arrange crescent dough over the top.

7. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

8. Rest 5 minutes, garnish, and serve hot.

Notes

Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt.

Add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat.

Serve with mustard, ketchup, onions, or your favorite chili dog toppings.

Store leftovers refrigerated for 3–4 days.
