Tender and juicy classic meatloaf made with seasoned ground beef and topped with a sweet and tangy caramelized glaze.

Ingredients

2 lb ground beef, preferably 80/20

1 cup plain breadcrumbs

1 small yellow onion, finely diced

2 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1/2 cup ketchup

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tbsp yellow mustard

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Mix meatloaf ingredients gently.

3. Shape into a compact loaf.

4. Whisk glaze ingredients together.

5. Spread half the glaze over the loaf.

6. Bake 45–60 minutes.

7. Add remaining glaze 15 minutes before done.

8. Bake to 160°F internal temperature.

9. Rest 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

Use 80/20 ground beef for a juicy texture.

Do not overmix the meat.

Let the meatloaf rest before slicing.

Prepare up to 1 day ahead and refrigerate.

Refrigerate leftovers for 3–4 days.

Freeze individual slices for longer storage.
