1 French baguette

1 lb medium or large shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1/4 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Slice baguette and brush with olive oil.

3. Bake 5–8 minutes until golden.

4. Season shrimp with paprika, salt, and pepper.

5. Melt butter in a skillet and cook garlic for 30–60 seconds.

6. Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until opaque.

7. Add cream and Parmesan; simmer 2–3 minutes.

8. Stir in lemon juice and parsley.

9. Coat shrimp in sauce and cook until 145°F.

10. Spoon onto toasted bread and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Serve immediately for the crispiest toast.

Use thawed, patted-dry shrimp.

Avoid overcooking the shrimp.

Store shrimp topping separately in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.

Reheat sauce gently over low heat.

Use crusty Italian bread instead of baguette if desired.
