This easy crockpot Italian chicken is made with tender chicken breasts, Italian dressing, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. A simple dump-and-go slow cooker dinner that’s perfect for busy weeknights, shredded chicken sandwiches, and meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale

1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 cup Italian dressing

Instructions

1. Lightly spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the mixture over both sides of the chicken breasts and gently rub it in.

3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Pour the Italian dressing evenly over the chicken.

4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

5. Remove the cooked chicken from the slow cooker. Serve whole, or shred with two forks. For shredded chicken, return it to the slow cooker and toss with the cooking juices before serving.
