A delicious, high-protein Honey Garlic Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice that is better than takeout.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces

1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 cups cooked rice

2 eggs, scrambled

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp teriyaki sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp cornstarch

1 tbsp water

Instructions

1.Season chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

2.Heat oil in a skillet and cook chicken until golden.

3.Add butter and shrimp; cook until shrimp are pink.

4.Stir in garlic.

5.Whisk soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, teriyaki, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.

6.Pour sauce into skillet and simmer until thick.

7.In another skillet, heat rice with eggs until warm and crispy.

8.Serve chicken and shrimp over fried rice.

Notes

Use day-old rice for best texture. Add vegetables like peas or carrots for extra nutrition.
