½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup brown sugar, packed
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour (heat-treated)
¼ tsp flake salt
¼ cup whole milk, room temperature
½ cup mini chocolate chips
½ cup M&M candies (original variety)
1 cup chocolate chips (for topping)
1 tbsp coconut oil (for topping)
Preheat oven to 350°F or microwave flour to 165°F in 30-sec intervals. Cool flour completely.
Cream softened butter and brown sugar in a bowl until smooth (2 mins). Scrape bowl sides periodically.
Beat in vanilla extract. Add cooled flour and salt, mix until combined. Fold in milk until smooth.
Gently stir in chocolate chips and M&Ms until evenly distributed.
Line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners. Use 2 tbsp dough per liner, pressing evenly into shape.
Microwave 1 cup chocolate chips + 1 tbsp coconut oil in 30-sec bursts at 50% power until smooth.
Spoon 1 tbsp melted chocolate over each dough cup, spreading to cover edges.
