Tender chicken, chewy noodles, crisp broccoli, and a savory homemade sauce come together in this easy Asian-inspired dinner.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

8 oz lo mein noodles

2 cups broccoli florets

1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

1. Whisk sauce ingredients.

2. Season the chicken.

3. Cook noodles and drain.

4. Cook broccoli until crisp-tender.

5. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through.

6. Add broccoli and sauce.

7. Toss in noodles for 1–2 minutes.

8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

9. Serve hot.

Notes

Do not overcook the noodles.

Avoid overcrowding the skillet when cooking chicken.

Use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast if preferred.

Add bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, or snow peas for variation.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
