1/2 lb large sea scallops, patted dry
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1.Pat scallops and shrimp very dry.
2.Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
3.Sear scallops in olive oil until golden.
4.Cook shrimp in the same pan until pink.
5.Sauté garlic in butter until fragrant.
6.Stir in lemon juice, zest, and red pepper flakes.
7.Toss seafood in sauce and garnish with parsley.
Use dry-packed scallops for the best sear.
