This Sheet Pan Taco Pizza features a golden crescent roll crust layered with creamy refried beans, taco-seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar cheese, tomatoes, black olives, and green onions. A flavorful family dinner that’s easy to slice and share.
1 lb ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 (16 oz) can refried beans
2–3 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend
½ cup chopped tomatoes
¼ cup sliced black olives
4 green onions, chopped
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat for 7–10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
3. Return beef to the skillet. Add taco seasoning and ½–⅔ cup water. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until most of the liquid evaporates.
4. Unroll the crescent rolls into rectangles. Press the dough into an 11.5 × 16.5-inch jelly roll pan, sealing the seams and pressing the dough ½ inch up the edges.
5. Bake the crescent roll crust for 11–13 minutes, until golden brown.
6. Microwave the refried beans for approximately 1 minute to soften.
7. Spread the warmed refried beans evenly over the baked crescent roll crust.
8. Spoon the seasoned ground beef over the refried beans.
9. Sprinkle 2–3 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese evenly over the beef.
10. Top with chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
11. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 3–6 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
12. Allow the taco pizza to rest for a few minutes. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve warm.
Bake the crescent roll crust until golden before adding the toppings to help prevent a soggy bottom.
Drain excess grease from the ground beef before adding the taco seasoning.
Allow most of the taco seasoning liquid to evaporate before assembling the pizza.
Warming the refried beans makes them easier to spread over the delicate crust.
Drain excess moisture from chopped tomatoes before adding them to the pizza.
For extra flavor, serve with optional sour cream, salsa, guacamole, or sliced jalapeños.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3–4 days.
Reheat leftovers to an internal temperature of 165°F. Oven reheating helps maintain a firmer crust.
Ground beef should reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
